Melograno

Origin

Released in the 1960s as an Acqua di Colonia carrying an accord composed in the impression of the pomegranate, a fruit read across Mediterranean and Eastern cultures as a sign of abundance.

Curiosity

In the early 2000s the composition found new life as a hand-modelled terracotta pomegranate, the scent infused into the unglazed clay and released slowly through its porous surface over months.

Artifact

The earliest 1960s label is small, like a postage stamp: the crowned Officina coat of arms printed in gold on a deep-green ground, marking its place within the wider Colonia range.
