L’apertura è dominata dalla vivacità del macis, una spezia raffinata che guida l'esperienza olfattiva verso un cuore ricco di legno di cedro e rosa centifolia. Il fondo si evolve in un'armonia avvolgente di legno di sandalo, patchouli e muschio di quercia, creando una fragranza intensa e affascinante. Marescialla è menzionata nel celebre romanzo "Il Gattopardo" di Tomasi di Lampedusa, dove il profumo di bouquet à la Maréchale accompagna la protagonista Angelica in un elegante ballo.

Beautifully old-fashioned

This is the sort of camphoraceous woody scent that just doesn’t get produced nowadays - it is absolutely gorgeous. The opening is very strong terebinth/turpentine and citrus, has a real nineteenth-century vibe to me (quite medicinal), but then it becomes all woods and moss. Not a blind buy but if you like old-fashioned scents and/or woods and moss, it is unmissable!

The true beauty of this fragrance is in the dry down, you’re left enchanted like a wizard has tapped you with a magic wand or a priestess has enveloped you in spells from a magic book found deep in the forest. Very unique scent, not for the feint of heart, do not blind buy if you are not adventurous
