Mini Acqua
Eau de Parfum
Acqua Eau de Parfum references the water features of the Grotta degli Animali at Villa Medicea di Castello, commissioned by Grand Duke Cosimo I in 1539. Pear at the opening, freesia and lotus at the heart, musk at the base. Aquatic and floral. Grand Duke Cosimo I de' Medici commissioned Niccolò Pericoli, known as Il Tribolo, to construct the Grotta degli Animali at Villa di Castello in 1539. The work was later completed by Giorgio Vasari and Giambologna. Tribolo also designed the hydraulic system that fed its fountains: over a hundred jets emerge from the vault, the floor, and the mouths of animals. Acqua takes this as its formal reference: aquatic and floral, built on pear, freesia and lotus. From I Giardini Medicei.
